What is Beastro?
Beastro is a cooking RPG and deckbuilder set in Palo Pori, a village of artisans and tastemakers with darkness pressing in beyond its walls. You play Panko, a young fox chef who inherits an eatery after his teacher disappears, and the food you cook arms the Caretakers who go out to fight what waits in the wilds.
This Beastro wiki collects the parts of that loop you have to plan around: the ingredients you can grow, catch or take from monsters, the recipes you cook them into, the venture cards they become, and the monsters waiting on the other side of the table.
Farming and gathering in Beastro
The Beastro pantry fills from three places. Seeds grow on a known schedule, with compost raising every harvest. Gathering brings in wood, stone, iron, Kaoo fur and the other materials the artisans want, and throwable treats fed to the Delishkens bring back eggs you cannot farm any other way.
Cooking and flavours in Beastro
Every ingredient in Beastro carries one of six flavours, bitter, salty, sour, spicy, sweet or umami, and a strength of light, medium or strong. Flavour decides which venture cards a dish hands to your Caretakers, and ingredients laid next to each other on the Mise en Place grid push their flavour onto their neighbours.
The dish sets the grid. Beastro has 28 recipes with grids from 1 by 2 up to 6 by 5, opened one by one through the skill tree, and most ingredients need a cooking technique such as sautéing, boiling or roasting before they go in.
Venture cards and Beastro combat
Combat in Beastro is a trick-taking card duel played out as puppet theatre. Meals become the deck: 107 ingredients generate 263 venture cards between them, each with a face value, a flavour and often an effect that changes how a trick resolves. Fight bites are the snacks you eat mid-fight when a hand goes wrong.
On the other side of the table sit 41 Beastro monsters and bosses, each with its own deck, stamina and loot. Knowing which cards a monster plays is the difference between cooking on a hunch and cooking for a fight.
Beastro bosses
Six bosses stand between Palo Pori and the end of Beastro: Furrog in the Marshlands, the Cranbear, the Clobboarer and the Maracalotl in the Mogave Desert, Terroreyezor past the Crystalline Coast, and Pokosh as the final boss. The boss strategies list every boss deck and the meal to cook for it.
Spending Solira in Beastro
Solira buys the upgrades that make every meal stronger. The Beastro shop spreads 100 items across 14 vendors, from technique upgrades for the oven, pot and knife to the Seamstress and Potter cosmetics, and most of them ask for materials on top of the price.
Is Beastro cosy or difficult?
Both. The farming, gathering and restaurant side of Beastro is as relaxed as the art suggests, while the deckbuilding underneath rewards planning a menu around what you are about to fight. A run goes wrong when the pantry is full and the deck is unfocused, so most of this Beastro database is built to help you pick the ingredient that makes the card you need.
