A recipe in Beastro is the frame you cook inside. Choosing a dish sets the size and shape of the Mise en Place grid, and that grid is the real constraint on the deck you are about to build, because every ingredient you fit into it becomes venture cards for the Caretaker.
Beastro grids range from the 1 by 2 strip of Peek Leek Soup up to the 6 by 5 of Catatouille. A bigger grid means more ingredients, more cards and more stamina, so unlocking larger dishes matters more to a Beastro run than any single ingredient does.
Because the grid shape differs between dishes, the same pantry cooks differently depending on what you choose. A tall narrow grid such as Terranami Raviolli suits the tall ingredients, a wide one suits the sprawling shapes, and the irregular ingredients are much easier to place when the dish gives you room to work around them.
Alongside the 28 dishes you cook for ventures, Beastro has 23 patron meals for the guests of the restaurant. Sixteen of them are unlocked in the Beastro skill tree, from Cranbear Fur Arancini and Amatato Poutine to Sloppy Joe, and each patron meal on this page links to the skill that opens it.
Beastro has 28 dishes with a Mise en Place grid and 23 patron meals, for 51 dishes in total.
Catatouille has the largest grid at 6 by 5, for 30 cells. Hot Dog, Porridge and Langoferno Ceviche follow at 5 by 5.
Peek Leek Soup gives a 1 by 2 grid, the smallest in Beastro. It only fits two cells of ingredients.
Through the skill tree. Every Beastro skill unlocks a dish, starting from Rice Bowl and Bulb Bowl, and the deeper skills open the larger grids.
Patron meals are the dishes served to guests at the restaurant. There are 23 of them, and 16 are unlocked through the Beastro skill tree.
