How monster fights work in Beastro
A Beastro fight is a trick-taking duel played as puppet theatre. The monster holds a fixed deck, so every encounter with the same creature deals the same cards in the same slots. That is what makes Beastro monsters learnable: once you know a deck, you know which values you have to beat.
Stamina is the monster's health, and attack, shield and evasion decide how much a lost trick costs you. Most Beastro monsters leave critical chance, critical bonus and magic bonus at zero, so the fight usually comes down to card values and the effects attached to them.
Beastro bosses and their stages
Six of the decks in Beastro belong to bosses, and some bosses bring more than one. Pokosh fights across two stages with a separate deck for each, and the Clobboarer brings a Rock Shield alongside it. Boss decks run higher values than regular monsters, with monster cards reaching 16 where an ingredient card stops at 10.
Beastro monster drops
Beating a Beastro monster gives its ingredients, and those ingredients become venture cards back in the kitchen. The loop is the whole game: fight a monster, cook what it dropped, take better cards into the next fight. Each monster page lists exactly what it leaves behind and links through to what those ingredients cook into.
